A Report on Not-Two Is Peace projects in 2013
In 2013 the Not-Two Is Peace movement grew to about 15-20 people participating on a consistent basis, and we also experienced the development of discrete projects within Not-Two Is Peace, including webinar conversations, a Not-Two Is Peace course, two Not-Two Is Peace websites, organizational meetings, email and social media campaigns, global prayer of changes, and Ecoops.
In 2013 we saw the number of public events for Not-Two Is Peace grow from 2 in 2012 (723 on July 23rd, 2012, and Light-in-everybody on December 21st, 2012), to five events in 2013. The total number of people showing up with some consistency for Not-Two Is Peace webinars, courses, service or organizational meetings this year was about 15.
In 2014 we plan to establish a leadership guild for Not-Two Is Peace, which would generate agendas and schedules and note-taking for organizational meetings and Open Conversation webinars. We also plan to continue offering public Not-Two Is Peace courses on a consistent basis. In addition, we expect to see attendance grow at Open Conversations to 50-150 people at least, and that these meetings will continue to function as laboratories for people to have conversations informed by the principles of Not-Two Is Peace, developing a true global cooperative culture with transparency, accountability, and inclusiveness.
We envision the development of a “critical mass” of people in 2014 who have read Not-Two Is Peace, have a genuine response to it, and want to serve it actively. From this group we hope to generate the Initial Council that will be able to formally establish the Global Cooperative Forum.
